Stainless steel water tank is optionalThe HOWO 8×4 Heavy-duty Fire Truck is a specialized firefighting apparatus designed for large-scale fire suppression, integrating high-capacity firefighting agent storage with an efficient discharge system. Built on the SINOTRUK HOWO special chassis, the vehicle measures 11,850 × 2,550 × 3,630 mm and adopts an 8×4 drivetrain configuration. Powered by a 380 HP Weichai WP10 engine paired with a 10-speed transmission, it achieves a maximum speed of 90 km/h. The front axle (7.5-ton capacity) and rear axle (13-ton capacity) load distribution, combined with 12.00R20 large tires, ensures stable operation under heavy loads. The single-row cab is equipped with air conditioning, providing a comfortable working environment for firefighters.
The HOWO heavy-duty fire tender truck boasts a total tank capacity of 24 cubic meters, including a 20m³ water tank and a 4m³ foam tank. The water tank is constructed from high-quality Q235 carbon steel plate with advanced anti-corrosion treatment, ensuring durability and extended service life. The foam tank is made of 304 stainless steel plate, also treated with anti-corrosion technology to maintain foam stability. The tank adopts a welded frame structure with internal longitudinal and transverse anti-slosh baffles, minimizing liquid impact during movement and enhancing driving safety. The front and rear walls feature trapezoidal reinforcement ribs for added strength and rigidity. A quick-opening manhole on the tank roof facilitates maintenance and inspection. Inside, a vortex prevention device and filter screen optimize pump efficiency, while a stainless-steel float-type level indicator allows real-time monitoring of firefighting agent volume via the dashboard. A ball-valve-equipped drain port at the bottom enables periodic cleaning.
The fire pump and monitor are critical components of the firefighting system. This HOWO 8×4 foam fire engine is equipped with an American Darley KSP1000 fire pump, a single-stage centrifugal pump driven by PTO, delivering outstanding performance. It achieves a flow rate of 65L/S at 1.0MPa and 32.5L/S at 2.0MPa, providing robust water supply for firefighting operations. The AKRON Model 3626 fire monitor delivers a flow rate of up to 3,800 LPM, with a water jet range exceeding 75 meters and a foam jet range of over 70 meters. Its 360° horizontal rotation and -30° to 80° vertical elevation allow flexible firefighting coverage from various angles and distances, ensuring effective suppression of large-scale fires.
