In the battlefield of life and death composed of flames and thick smoke, fire trucks are like mobile fortresses, carrying the heavy responsibility of saving lives. With its excellent performance parameters and sophisticated equipment configuration, the HOWO 8x4 15 cubic water tank fire truck has become an important member of the modern fire equipment system. This professional vehicle, which combines power, functionality and reliability, demonstrates the technical level of contemporary Chinese fire equipment manufacturing.
Chassis: Strong foundation, surging power
The vehicle adopts the HOWO TX460 8×4 heavy-duty chassis, and the double-row cab design can accommodate 6 firefighters, taking into account both operating space and collaborative efficiency. The wheelbase layout is 1950+3825+1350mm, taking into account both passability and stability, and adapting to complex terrains such as urban lanes and industrial parks. The configuration of 6500/7000kg front axle load and 17500kg rear axle double-axle load ensures that it can still drive steadily when fully loaded with 15 tons of water tanks and equipment.
The power system is equipped with a Sinotruk MC11H.46-61 engine with a displacement of 11L, a maximum power of 460 horsepower (341kW), and a peak torque of 2200N·m. The low-speed high-torque characteristics significantly improve the climbing and acceleration capabilities. Matching the HW19712L 12-speed gearbox, the gear shifting is smooth and the gear segmentation is reasonable, which can accurately match different working conditions and achieve a balance between power and fuel consumption. The National VI emission standard highlights the concept of environmental protection, meets the traffic restriction policy of first-tier cities, and ensures all-weather attendance.
Upper body: professional integration, efficient fire extinguishing
1. 15 square carbon steel water tank: the core of long-term combat
The water tank is welded with high-strength carbon steel, with a volume of 15 cubic meters. It has sufficient capacity and can provide a steady supply of water for firefighting work. Carbon steel is durable and has good corrosion resistance and pressure resistance, ensuring that there will be no leakage and other problems during long-term use. A wave-breaking plate is installed inside the tank to reduce the impact of liquid surface shaking on stability during vehicle driving; a manhole cover, water injection port and overflow valve are installed on the top to support water replenishment from municipal pipe networks, fire hydrants and natural water sources. A single water supply can last for more than 30 minutes.
2. Intelligent pump room system: precise control center
The tail pump room integrates CB10/80 medium and low pressure fire pumps with a rated flow of 80L/s (1.3m³/min) and a maximum pressure of 1.0MPa. It can quickly pressurize the water in the water tank and deliver it to the fire monitor or water gun, providing strong water pressure support for fire fighting. The control panel integrates digital instruments such as pressure gauge, vacuum gauge, liquid level gauge, tachometer, etc., to provide real-time feedback on the equipment status; one-button start of PTO (power take-off) function to achieve rapid power switching; the control buttons such as liquid level display, vacuum pump switch, equipment box lighting, etc. are reasonably arranged, which is convenient for firefighters to operate intuitively at the rear of the vehicle.
3. PS50 fire monitor: a long-range strike weapon
The top of the carriage is equipped with a PS50 fire monitor with a flow rate of 50L/s and a range of ≥65 meters. It supports three modes: direct current, spray, and blooming, and can be rotated 360°. The monitor body is made of aluminum alloy, which is light and corrosion-resistant. With the electric remote control device, the range and flow parameters are carefully matched, which can not only achieve long-distance precise fire extinguishing, but also carry out large-flow coverage spraying. Its pitch and rotation mechanism responds quickly and is flexible to operate, which greatly improves the fire extinguishing efficiency.
4. Equipment box partition management
An aluminum alloy rolling door equipment box is set under the water tank. It adopts modular partitions and can accommodate a variety of equipment such as fire hoses, water collectors, water filters, water distributors, demolition tools, etc. Classified storage is convenient for quick access, which greatly improves the rescue efficiency.
